Atlassian is the top tech “pioneer” in Australia and New Zealand, according to a report published today by local venture capital firm H2 Ventures and lender and asset manager Investec.
The inaugural Tech Pioneers Report ranks some of Australia’s most well-known startups based on how much capital they’ve raised, along with factors such as their product and customer service.
Atlassian, which listed on the US stock exchange in December last year and is valued at around $8 billion, took out the number one spot, closely followed by New Zealand accounting software provider Xero and Melbourne-based online marketplace Envato.
Other familiar names to grace the list include Sydney-based graphic design startup Canva, which last year raised $US15 million, and mobile payments startup Invoice2Go.
Ben Heap, founding partner of H2 Ventures, said in a statement the 50 companies named in the Tech Pioneers Report will be the “drivers of the economy of the future” and are paving the way for other startup success stories.
