MySpace founder speaks out on Google+

MySpace co-founder Tom Anderson has spoken out on the launch of Google+, the search giant’s new social networking project.

So far the platform has been welcomed enthusiastically, with the company even halting the amount of invitations being given out.

Anderson has written in a post that Google+ works because it integrates a number of existing services.

“My original vision for MS was that everything got better when it was social–so I tried to build all the super popular things used on the web (blogs, music, classifieds, events, photos) on top of MySpace’s social layer.”

“When Yahoo launched 360, MSN launched Spaces, and Google launched Okrut, I was shakin’ in my boots.”

Anderson says Google+ seems able to deliver on the premise that “everything gets better when it’s social”.
