New photos posted on tech site Gizmodo suggest the next version of the iPad will come with a landscape dock connector.
While the publication claims it cannot confirm whether the photos, from Mission Repair, are real, the photos do show a landscape dock connector – meaning it could be possible for users to charge or dock the iPad in landscape mode.
However, the photos don’t show any type of rear-facing camera, despite the hopes of several fans the next version would contain functionality for taking pictures.
The pictures also show the new case is the same size as the current iPad, perhaps negating rumours the next version would be a seven-inch mode. Gizmodo also points out the landscape docking feature has been listed in previous Apple patents.
