Music downloading service Napster has now released an application that can be used on the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch.
The app allows users to access the company’s catalogue of music, more than 10 million songs, for about $US10 per month.
“You can save songs, playlists, and albums to your iPhone to enjoy when not connected and listen while you run other apps,” Napster said in a statement. The app is free but requires signing up to the Napster service.
Napster was one of the first popular file sharing programs, once used for sending pirated copies of music and media files. After lengthy court battles the service now operates a legitimate music-sharing product.
