CartHopper is an online marketplace that connects people who need something picked up and delivered, with people in the area who have the right type of vehicle to help out.
This concept of asking the community to work together is also known as collaborative consumption, and has been popularised in recent times by well-known start-ups like Uber and Airbnb.
CartHopper brings out that sense of community by allowing locals to reach out to each other to get their larger than usual items moved quickly and cheaply.
By relying on drivers who are already going past the pickup and drop-off points, CartHopper aims to ultimately reduce the cost to both customers and drivers.
I only recently bought myself Apple TV, and I have not regretted it in the slightest. I particularly love the ability to stream episodes of Shark Tank on my TV instantly from YouTube.
If you haven’t seen Shark Tank, and you are an entrepreneur, this is the most entertaining way to get schooled up on start-up 101.
Apple TV has also allowed me to conduct valuable live testing and feedback sessions for an app I am currently developing with one of my other start-up teams.
To be able to mirror my iPhone screen on to the TV in real time to display the app has helped reduced the effort involved in the bug testing process so far.
