Even the rich need a place to relax. With stock markets plummeting, banks failing and economies falling into recession, we all need a little time off.

So courtesy of Forbes.com, here are three of the hottest billionaire playgrounds.

Basil’s Bar and Restaurant, Mustique

Located on the remote Caribbean island of Mustique, this bar’s guests include Tommy Hilfiger, Mick Jagger, Denzel Washington and even Queen Elizabeth.

“Here, they get to let their hair down and be normal people,” says owner Basil Charles. “Bill Gates was sitting at the end of my bar reading a book one morning – I had no idea who this man was.”

Sun Valley Lodge, Idaho

This ski resort and hiking trail hub plays host to celebrities such as Tom Hanks, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Steve Wynn, all of whom have homes in the area. The resort also boosts a lodge, with rooms going for $540 a night.

Banking billionaire Herb Allen holds his annual media conference here, and other moguls such as Rupert Murdoch and Michael Eisner regularly head out to the valley for meetings.

The Four Seasons Resort, Hawaii

The Four Seasons Resort is a Mecca for the wealthy and famous. Computer mogul Michael Dell loved the hotel so much, he bought it in 2004. The grandest suite encompasses the entire 17th floor, and has three bedrooms, a private spa, a eucalyptus rain shower and six plasma TVs.
