SmartCompany’s changed how we organise our content – Here are the four reasons why

SmartCompany has undergone a restructure to make the site more accessible and easier so you, our readers, can get the most out of our content.

Here’s a brief rundown of the new changes to make sure you don’t miss out on anything.

Categories

We’ve got a whole new set of menus to make finding the information you need even easier. Wanting to grow your business? Check out the growth menu. Wanting to learn more about technological advances which could position your business at the forefront? Check out the technology menu.

Other new categories include finance, people, leadership, marketing, legal, industry and resources. So if you can’t find a recent story you’re looking for on the front page, consider scrolling through its likely category.

Sub-categories

Under each menu you’ll also find sub-categories to make the searching process even easier. If you’re looking for information on a specific industry, take a look at the industry tab. We’ve gone through the sectors we cover most often at SmartCompany and grouped the stories together for your convenience.

Subject first

What’s great about the new restructure is if you click on a blog or article, it’ll be grouped under the category that makes sense given what it’s about, rather than under the name of its author or which series it’s part of. The only thing that matters now is what the article is about. This’ll make the site less of a grab-bag of content, which we hope will make it easier to navigate.

Sharing content

As usual, if you read an article you like, we encourage you to share it on social media. We’ve got share counters for Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest, and if you’re looking for another site such as LinkedIn, just hover over the share button and you’ll get a drop down list of other site options.

It’s only the beginning

In a small business, you can’t afford to stand still, and we have no plans to.

We’ve still got a bunch of things we want to roll out over the coming weeks, and we’re keen to hear what you think is missing, or what doesn’t work.

If you love what we’ve changed, or if you don’t, let us know. We’re at feedback@smartcompany.com.au.
