Samsung has officially unveiled an 8-inch version of its Galaxy Note tablet.
The new tablet features Android 4.1.2 Jellybean along with a number of the company’s own add-ons, including Samsung Kies Air, Smart Stay and Direct Call.
As with previous Galaxy Note tablets and phablets, the device also uses Samsung’s S Pen stylus and comes pre-loaded with a number S Pen related apps and features, including S Note, S Planner, email with hand-writing integration, Quick Command, Easy Clip, Photo Note and Paper Artist.
The tablet also uses a 1.6GHz A9 quad-core processor and features a 1280×800, 189 ppi display.
“Back in 2010 the launch of the first Samsung GALAXY Tab with 7 inch screen opened a new chapter in the mobile industry. Now almost three years later, Samsung continues to evolve the sector that meets the demands of modern life.” says Samsung Electronics IT and mobile communications president JK Shin.
“The GALAXY Note 8.0 breaths fresh life into the category as it delivers the perfect fusion of portability and everyday productivity – the result is a pioneering, pocket-sized solution that enhances and enriches our everyday lives, whether at work or play.”
