Manufacturer Celestica, which makes smartphones and other gadgets for Research In Motion, has announced it will start winding down services for RIM over the next three to six months.
The company said in a statement that after working with RIM through its review process it would start winding down over the next half year.
Celestica also said restructuring charges wouldn’t be more than $35 million. It also said its second quarter financial guidance had been reaffirmed.
The announcement comes as the popularity of RIM’s devices declines. The firm continues to lose market share to Apple, even in the enterprise space, while rumours suggest the company may be preparing to lay off a significant number of workers.
