Microsoft chases start-up market

Microsoft has created a new initiative for internet start ups that will see the software giant offer software, technical support and connections at a discount.

Labelled “BizSpark”, business candidates for the initiative must be under three years old, with revenues less than $US1 million and must be nominated by a BizSpark network partner.

“Microsoft BizSpark is an exciting way for us to help provide business startups with the development tools, advice and exposure they need,” Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer told itnews.com.au

“We look forward to working with organisations and development agencies around the globe to foster entrepreneurship and help new companies succeed.”
