Google appears to be gearing up to enter the emerging smartwatch market, challenging Pebble, Apple and its Android partner Samsung.
The Financial Times reports speculation that Google is working on a smartwatch within its Android unit.
The search and mobile giant currently holds patents on key smartwatch features, including cameras, flip-up displays and tactile user interfaces.
Google has not confirmed speculation about the device.
