Google’s Dropbox competitor to launch next week

Google is set to launch its Google Drive cloud storage service next week, according to a leaked press release.

The press release, obtained by The Next Web, suggests that Google’s competitor to Dropbox will offer 5GB of free storage space and will most likely launch next Tuesday.

The reports appear to confirm earlier speculation and leaks about the Google Drive service.

Whether the service will integrate with other Google services, such as Gmail or Google+, remains unclear at this stage.
