Google has acknowledged its Glass wearable computer devices won’t begin shipping until next year.
Computerworld reports it now appears the new device won’t be ready for release until the Google I/O conference in May, 2014.
“We’re always adjusting and readjusting timelines. The most important thing that we do is focus on building a great product for users whenever that might be launched,” Google says in a statement.
The latest delay comes despite prototypes of the device being tested by a group of “Google Glass Explorers” in March, a test program Australians weren’t eligible for.
