Apple has released a software update for iTunes this morning, just hours after it announced the release of its new high-definition, 4G iPad.
The upgrade will see iTunes 10.6 now capable of supporting 1080p videos, matching the update provided to the Apple TV set-top box.
The new iTunes update will also provide better support for iTunes Match, along with upgrades to the different ways artwork is displayed.
The new update also comes alongside the release of iOS 5.1, and a number of upgrades for apps avialable on the iPad to take advantage of the new retina screen.
