Streaming music service Spotify is set to launch in Austalia, according to a new report in the Australian Financial Review.
This comes several weeks after the company hired a marketing manager for the Asia Pacfic area, prompting rumours the company would soon launch an Australian version of its product.
The AFR claims that, according to an industry source, the company is set to launch in Australia “soon”, while two or three other international companies are expected to open in the next quarter.
The company recently launched in the United States and has already attracted millions of users. The company is partly backed by Napster co-founder and former Facebook president Sean Parker.
