Apple has now hired Dixons Retail chief executive John Browett as the company’s new senior vice president of retail.
Browett will join the business in April, and will be in charge of deciding the company’s retail strategy and expanding the chain.
“Our retail stores are all about customer service, and John shares that commitment like no one else we’ve met,” chief executive Tim Cook said in a statement. “We are thrilled to have him join our team and bring his incredible retail experience to Apple.”
Browett has been at Dixons Retail since 2007, after holding several executive positions at Tesco. Prior to that, he worked at the Boston Consulting Group.
