A new report suggests Nokia may be looking at selling its smartphone division to Microsoft, months after the two linked up with a partnership.
According to a report from an analyst at Danske Bank, Nokia may indeed sell its smartphone division during the first six months of 2012.
The note to clients also changed the rating on Nokia stock to “hold”. Nokia shares rose after the news was made.
However, Nokia has denied the rumours, with a spokesperson telling Boy Genius Report that “we put these rumours to rest a long time ago”.
