Google may be teaming up with LG to launch a new television set at next year’s Consumer Electronics Show, Bloomberg has reported.
The report, which is based on unnamed sources, states that LG is trying to work with Google to build a television set that would incorporate the search giant’s TV technology.
The report claims that Google is actually trying to create a “coalition” around the Google TV software, noting that Logitech has begun to back away from its relationship with Google after building a set-top box.
The move also comes after Google has given the TV software a major update, putting more focus on video features such as YouTube.
