Google is preparing to release a new version of Gmail, according to a video that was posted on the company’s YouTube channel accidentally.
The video was originally spotted by the Google Operating System blog, and has been reposted by other YouTube users.
“Oops, you weren’t supposed to see that,” a spokesperson told Mashable. “Stay tuned, we’ll be sharing more info on Gmail’s new look soon.”
The video shows Google giving Gmail a new look including changing the size of the label and chat areas, introducing email threads, and making search a bit more friendly.
Although Google has made periodic updates to its Gmail interface for some time, this appears to be one of the most significant since its creation.
