The tablet market is currently controlled by the iPad with Android failing to catch up, but Windows 8 may have a chance, Dell founder and chief executive Michael Dell has said.
Speaking to Business Insider, Dell said that Microsoft now has a good chance of being able to compete against the iPad.
“If you look at the tablet market, you have to say right now it’s an iPad market,” he told the publication. “The Android stuff has not done fantastically well… Microsoft has a pretty good shot with Windows 8, we’re pretty excited with what they’re doing.”
Microsoft has already unveiled its Windows 8 software, although a commercial launch is not expected for some time.
