A new rumour has stated the iPhone 5 has already been in production and could be slated for a release in the American summer of 2012.
The report comes just days after CNET posted a similar story indicating that Steve Jobs had spent most of his time on the device before his death.
According to 9to5Mac, a new iPhone 5 with an overhauled design does exist, but was not able to be released by the end of the year.
The report states that while models of the device have leaked out of China, it was not ready for release. Right now, it is tentatively scheduled for a release in the American summer next year.
However, Apple has been known to change its release schedules, so another iPhone may not hit shelves for another year.
