Samsung will provide Apple with a next-generation quad-core A6 processor for the next iPhone, the Korea Times has reported.
A source has told the publication that Apple has been discussing with Samsung shipments of its chips for the next version of the device, expected next year.
The report comes as both Apple and Samsung are facing off against each other in court over dual patent disputes. However, executives have signalled both relationships will be handled separately.
The report also comes just days after CNET reported that before his death, Apple founder Steve Jobs was spending all his time on the iPhone 5 which is expected to see a major design overhaul.
