Software giant Microsoft is set to debut Windows 8 on a tablet device next week, according to a new Reuters report.
The report claims that Windows head Steven Sinofsky will display an early version of the Windows 8 operating system on a Samsung tablet at an annual conference.
Analysts indicate that shareholders will be keen to see how the new software performs and whether it will be an improvement on previous versions.
The company has been criticised over the past few weeks for releasing some early screenshots of design features in Windows 8. Some critics have said the Windows Explorer navigation system is too complicated, and should be adopting a more streamlined, simplified design.
