Research In Motion senior director of global developer relations Mike Kirkup has announced that he will be leaving the company after a decade.
The move comes as RIM has been struggling over the past year, as its smartphones fail to compete with Apple and Android models, and as developers opt to focus on those platforms instead.
“Over my 10 year career I have worked with so many amazing individuals both inside RIM and in our broader developer community,” he wrote on his blog.
“This is a great company with leaders I respect and admire. It has been an honour to share in the success and growth of such an extraordinary company.”
