LG chief executive Kwon Young-soo has told reporters that the company will be working on new panels similar to those seen in the current iPhone, according to a new report from the Korean Times.
The publication reports that when speaking to journalists, the executive said that more smartphone manufacturers will be using the Retina Display, seen in the iPhone and iPad, suggesting there may be a retina display coming in the new iPad.
Various reports have indicated the new iPad will be coming this year and will feature a high resolution screen.
This comes after a separate Korean Times report suggests that Apple is now testing a panel with resolution of 2048×1536.
