Google former chief executive and current executive chairman Eric Schmidt says he is not worried over recent patent disputes between Apple and HTC.
HTC recently lost a court battle in which it was found the manufacturer infringed on two of Apple’s patents.
“We have seen an explosion of Android devices entering the market and, because of our successes, competitors are responding with lawsuits as they cannot respond through innovations,” he is reported as saying in ZDnet. “I’m not too worried about this.”
Referring to whether Google would help pay HTC legal bills if it lost, Schmidt responded, “We will make sure they don’t lose, then”.
