Twitter is now broadcasting more than 350 billion tweets, the company confirmed in a statement late last week.
“Delivering 350 billion tweets a day is a terribly fun engineering challenge. But, it doesn’t capture how passionate our users are,” Twitter said in a tweet.
The announcement came just hours after Google confirmed that 10 million users had joined its Google+ social network, and were sharing over one billion items of content every day.
Twitter also announced recently that it had reached its fifth year anniversary. The company pointed out that while it took 16 months to get the first 600,000 accounts, many people are now signing up every day.
