Manufacturer HTC has said it will appeal a ruling from the International Trade Commission that it infringed two Apple patents in the process of making its Android-based devices.
Bloomberg has reported the company has said it will “vigorously fight these two remaining patents through an appeal before the ITC commissioners who make the final decision”, according to counsel.
In an official statement the company said that “we are highly confident we have a strong case for the ITC appeals process”.
The HTC case is only the latest in a number of patent disputes that have overshadowed the tech industry over the past few years, as more manufacturers start producing smartphones with similar technology. Apple is involved in numerous disputes against some competitors, including Samsung.
“We strongly believe we have alternate solutions in place for the issues raised by Apple. We look forward to resolving this case, so we can continue creating the most innovative mobile experiences for consumers.”
