Social networking giant Facebook is planning a new music product that may allow users to stream tunes through the site, according to a new report from GigaOM.
The publication is reporting that Facebook is speaking with a number of different music service provider, including European-based Spotify.
The rumour states that Facebook will create a new tab called “music” that will allow users to access the new service and that friends will be able to recommend songs to each other.
The report also states that users will be given controls on the page to control music playback, and that a page will show them songs they’ve recently listened to a count of the number of time songs have been played.
