A new report from 9to5Mac suggests Apple is now in the final testing stages for the iPhone 5 with the gadget to launch in September this year.
The report claims that at this stage, Apple executives are carrying around the gadget in their personal time for testing.
The gadget is rumoured to come with 4G connectivity and NFC technology, although some recent reports have said NFC may be delayed for a future handset.
Other new reports suggest the device may include the option to take panoramic photographs, along with the ability to playback video at 1080p quality.
The iPhone 5 is also expected to come alongside a new iPad, which some reports have claimed will feature a high-definition retina display.
