Nvidia chief executive Jen-Hsun Huang has said that within five years the sales of tablet computers will outpace those of notebooks.
According to the Taiwan Economic Times, Huang said that as the notebook market begins to slow, the graphics processing company will start looking at tablets more and more.
“We used to be a PC graphics company – only PCs, only graphics,” Huang recently told the New York Times. “We have reinvented Nvidia.”
“We are well positioned to go after a market opportunity that is sixfold the market opportunity of the Nvidia you knew from the past,” Huang added.
The company has also said it will begin to focus more on smartphones, specifically for the Android operating system.
