Manufacturing and electronics giant Samsung has announced it will continue to depend on the Android operating system for its future tablet devices.
According to the Wall Street Journal, Samsung is preparing to launch a new version of the Galaxy tab this year, and beyond that Android will be used for its tablets.
“We’ll continue to work with Android on future tablets,” J.K. Shin, chief of Samsung mobile, told the publication.
Shin also touched on the company’s current lawsuit with Apple, which claims the Korean company infringed on some patents. “We have used many similar designs over the past years and it [Apple’s allegation] will not be legally problematic,” Shin said.
