Retail giant Amazon has made yet another hint at its upcoming tablet device, with chief executive Jeff Bezos saying “stay tuned” in a recent interview.
Speaking with Consumer Reports, Bezos said the company would be more likely to make a supplement device for the existing Kindle Reader, which he calls the company’s “purpose-built eReading device”.
“We will always be very mindful that we will want a dedicated reading device,” he said. “In terms of any other product introductions, I shouldn’t answer.”
Amazon has found success with its range of Kindle devices, but is rumoured to be looking at a tablet in order to make up for poor sales in overseas markets.
