Customer names and email address of McKinsey & Company, TiVo, JP Morgan Chase and Capital One Financial have been accessed by hackers, its email service provider Epsilon has said.
Epsilon has declined to say how many companies have been affected by the ‘unauthorised entry’ on March 30, Bloomberg reported, but McKinsey & Company senior managing editor Rik Kirkland has reassured customers that credit card numbers or other personally identifiable information could not have been accessed from its side.
Epilson sends a staggering 40 billion emails each year.
Kirkland also urged customers when opening links or attached, ZDNet Australia reported.
