Web 3.0 all about data

LinkedIn founder Reid Hoffman has said the next version of the web will be all about data, and how people use it.

Hoffman said at the Web 2.0 expo in San Francisco that “this is where some massive innovation will happen that will transform our lives”, according to Mashable.

Hoffman went on to explain that data will be split into two categories – explicit data will see users give out their information to social networks and so on, but implicit data is more passive data is recorded while the user isn’t aware.

He also pointed out that “good internet companies do not ambush their users”.
