A software bug on the social networking site Twitter has caused users to see their total post count highly inflated above their actual number of “tweets”.
The site has said the glitch is a low priority issue, but it has affected more members than first expected.
“Some users are experiencing tweet counts which are vastly greater than the number which should be displayed,” the Twitter Support Team wrote on the site.
“If your tweet count is at least three times the number it should be, please leave a comment below.”
Dozens of users have responded to the post, claiming they have been affected by the problem.
