A new software program has been developed that allows users to delete posts made on social networks such as Facebook during late night, drunken browsing sessions.
The tool, being developed by Webroot in the United States, is actually a plugin for the Firefox web browser, and is called the “Social Media Sobriety Test”.
The plugin promises to “put an end to the embarrassment that follows regrettable, late-night posts”.
The plugin makes users complete a short coordination test before being allowed to login to whatever social network they are trying to access, including Facebook, MySpace and YouTube.
If the fail the test, they are not able to login. Users of the service are also able to choose when the plugin becomes active, so they don’t have to complete the test every time.
