Google repairs Gmail bug

Internet giant Google has repaired a Gmail bug that sent multiple copies of emails to contacts in a user’s database.

A number of messages were posted on the Google support forums about the bug, with members complaining their messages kept getting resent even after they were deleted.

As reported by Information Week, the company said that, “we’re experiencing an issue affecting less than 2.5% of the Google Mail user base”.

“We are working to implement a fix for this issue, after which point some of these messages may be re-sent one final time.”

Late last week, the company said in a support forum post that, “No more duplicate emails should be going out at this point and new messages you send out now should not be affected by this issue”.
