Some of the most popular apps on the App Store have been aggregators – programs that collect and store data for you from any number of sources. Many of these have been designed to collect mobile phone and internet data, ensuring you never break your cap.
Now, Melbourne-based app studio Bjango has created a new player in that market. Its new app, “Consume”, allows users to aggregate data from any number of telcos to create a database of how you’re using your data.
But these days, telco data isn’t enough. Bjango has provided users with a slew of different options with providers ranging from transport to retail. Some include FlyBuys, Qantas, Myki, Eastlink, Priceline, TattsLotto, AusPost, American Airlines, Apple tracking service and even the Boost Juice club.
All in all, there are over 200 providers ranging from countries including the United States, Greece, Italy and Ireland.
Being two years in to the App Store’s lifecycle, aggregator apps require more than just being able to view your mobile data. Consume is a comprehensive database that is advanced enough to become a daily-use app for many iPhone owners – and it’s also free.
