The Firefox Home iPhone App, developed by the same Mozilla team responsible for the Firefox browser, is now available in the App Store.
The app itself is not an official web browser. However, it allows users to take their internet bookmarks, browsing history and open tabs wherever they go, with the ability to load those options into Safari.
The “Awesome Bar” helps users find their favourite websites, determined by frequent usage, while the Sync add-on allows browsing information and actions to be transferred between devices.
The app is free. And although users may be waiting for a full-blown browser, it may be some time before Apple allows a rival piece of software to join its ranks on the App Store.
