Most iPhone and iPod users would know what it’s like to be reading an article, then find your Wi-FI or 3G connection cuts out. Without loading the article again, or saving the text, there’s no way you can keep reading.
Instapaper solves that problem by allowing users to download full internet articles, ready for offline viewing. Users hit a tab in the Safari browser that allows you to bookmark the text, ready to be viewed offline.
The app, which is also available for the iPad, also connects with a number of different apps to save text directly to Instapaper through an extension button.
Using the Instpaper app, users can modify the text size and colour, and can move spacing around to make articles easier to read. The iPad version also has a number of different features including brightness control and font options.
It’s a little expensive at $5.99, but constant readers may find the convenience is too hard to ignore.
