Tech giant Apple has updated its MacBook Pro line-up with new Intel processors, giving the laptops a considerable boost in processing power and speed.
The new MacBook Pros, excluding the 13-inch model, now contain Intel Corei5 and i7 processors, and also contain new graphics-switching technology which allows the laptops to switch between on-board graphics and extra hardware, saving battery life.
The new MacBook Pro 13” will start at $1,499 with a 250GB hard drive, or $1,899 for a 2.66GHz model. The 15” model will come with a 2.4GHz processors and a 320GB hard drive, and will cost $2,199, while a 500GB model will be available for $2,798. A version with the Core i7 processor will cost $2,798.
The 17” model will sell for $2,899 with a Core i5 processor and 500GB disk.
