This week’s iPhone App of the Week isn’t even available in the App Store, but it’s being hailed as one of the most innovative on the device to date.
The iDriver application has been designed in tandem with a specially designed car so iPhone users can control its movement through their smartphone.
While the application isn’t commercially available, and the technology has been used before, it is the first application of its kind to appear on a smartphone device. The application allows the users to handle the steering, while two buttons on the screen control the brake and accelerator.
Tech blog Engadget hailed the device, saying it “might be the most impressive use of Apple’s smartphone… well, ever”.
