BlackBerry maker RIM launched its first ever desktop manager for Macintosh users over the weekend, enabling users to sync Macintosh applications such as iCal, Address Book, Entourage and others to their phone.
The free download, which replaces PocketMac, also enables users to add and remove programs, encrypt files and install firmware updates to their BlackBerry.
Additionally, it includes a Media Sync that can synchronise iTunes playlists and album art to a BlackBerry.
The BlackBerry Desktop Manager software is designed to run on Mac computers with Mac OS 10.5.5 and higher and supports BlackBerry smartphones running BlackBerry OS 4.2 and higher.
