iPhone users were pleased when the new 3GS model came with an updated camera, and now a new app is allowing users to make the most from the gadget’s capabilities.
The CameraGenius app, which costs just $1.19, allows users to make the most from their camera. When you launch the app, the camera opens automatically and offers the user six different options.
“Zoom” is a self-explanatory feature, although the camera is purely digital so zooming in too far results in a pixilated screen. “Sound Capture” allows users to record a sound to take a picture. A user records the sound first, and whenever the application recognises that sound again, it takes a picture.
The “Anti-Shake” feature steadies the phone when taking a picture, while “Big Button” turns the entire screen into a shutter button to make taking pictures easier.
For photography buffs, the last two features are the top choices. “Guides” puts horizontal and vertical lines over the screen, allowing budding photographers to make use of the “rule of thirds”. The “Timer” feature also gives users a 10 second countdown with a beep at each second.
