Employees buy shares in business ideas

A new online service allows employees to purchase shares in ideas presented by their colleagues to help improve their business and workplace.

“Idea Exchange”, developed by the Danish-based Nosco, is provided as a software-as-a-service. It works as a virtual suggestion box, in which users post their suggestions about how to improve their business.

Their colleagues can then search through these ideas, and then the software allows them to purchase shares in an idea they believe to be viable. Employees can see which ideas are being promoted the most by watching their “stock” value.

The idea is simply a competition, (with no real “money” to be made from the shares), but the service attempts to encourage employees to carefully consider which ideas could help their business.
