Co-founder Christina Hobbs shared news of the acquisition on LinkedIn, five years after launching the first superannuation fund to be led by women and tailored for women.

The investment app Verve Money, which launched on July 17, allows investors to select from one of three ethically curated portfolios.

Verve Super was determined to raise money from those who shared a passion for women’s economic equality, as well as for impact investing in female-led companies.

Verve Super will become the first Australian superannuation fund to direct its investments towards companies that perform well on gender equality measures.

The federal government has dished out $12 million in grant funding to women-led businesses, through its Boosting Female Founders Initiative.
