The National AI Centre is partnering with Stone & Chalk and Google Cloud to launch Australia's AI Sprint, a three-month competitive program designed to help bolster Australia's AI industry.

Science and Technology Minister Melissa Price said the new centre will encourage local businesses to be early adopters of artificial intelligence.

A national AI centre run by CSIRO, and four AI and Digital Capability Centres will encourage SMEs to adopt artificial intelligence technology.
