According to the World Economic Forum, closing the global gender gap will now be pushed back by an entire generation — from 99.5 years to 135.6 years.

New research on the gender pay gaps of nearly 5000 companies shows that while the full-time wage disparity has fallen to 20.1% from 24.7% in the last seven years, it is likely to take another 26 years for it to close completely.

Despite significant awareness being raised and resources being thrown at closing the gap, the startup ecosystem continues to be dominated by men.
