Labor has just announced a major new industrial policy – the Future Made in Australia Act – that will break with Canberra’s historical aversion to large-scale economic intervention.
Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has outlined a strongly interventionist role for the government to make Australia competitive in a world requiring us to “break with old orthodoxies”.
"As we put together next month's budget, small businesses and families will again be front and centre in our thinking," Prime Minister Anthony Albanese said.
